What a delightful read! I loved the analysis of Aaragorn as a father figure as he care for, led and protected the Hobbits. He is my second favorite character in the trilogy and you've paralleled him nicely.
I always found him a bit unapproachable in the book, a bit like kids feel about dads, or men feel about kings. Still, you know he intends good and he's noble.
I shared with my son. This is awesome!
Thanks Joy. I hope he gets something good from it.

Thanks. I have to ask: who is your favorite?

Good points. I always likened him to the old west cowboy, tough and dangerous but good. Much like fathers as you well point out.
My favorite is Samwise Gamgee. Humble servant, loyal friend, stout heart.
Especially when he says to Frodo: of course you are (going alone) and Im coming with you.
And in the boat, I don't intend to, Mr Frodo (leave him).
Then in the third film, I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you!
It reminds me of intercession, how we carry another to Jesus.
Anyway, good stuff.
Amen to that. True friendship is a rare thing these days.
