This is fascinating. As I read this, I can see bits of me in each of the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion, and I know exactly what they're searching for because I'm trying to find those same things in me.

I wish there was more writing like this on Substack. (Maybe there is, and I just haven't found it yet... I'm really hard to please)

I'll be reading this one more than once. 🙌

I feel that same thing. Like a lot of personality analysis tools, I think these are the core that each character has in different quantities. Especially later in the story you see each of them being a little more complex in their interactions. The Lion is probably the most obvious with his cowardice completely dissolving when he sees it's his moment. Just like the dream guys have of how they would rise to the occasion if a bad guy every came after their family.

I'm glad it resonated with you. I appreciate the conversation and the pledge. Not all my stuff focuses on culture, but there are several others who write excellent content. Librarian of Caelano is always good for quality writing and an interesting take. My favorite was his analysis of the movie Predator a while back. https://librarianofcelaeno.substack.com/p/predator-is-not-the-movie-you-think
